Firenze and tuscany. How to arrive?

Galileo Galilei airport is in Pisa and is the closest International airport to Firenze (Florence), approximately 60 miles away. From Pisa you can go to Florence by train, bus or rental car (the best option I think for knowing all the small towns of this wide region).

Stazione Santa Maria Novella is the main train station around Florence. It's located at most 15-minutes (average walking time) from the furthest major attractions in Florence. Florence is reachable by train from many major areas of Italy and is also reachable from the airport. You can even check your bags and get a boarding pass for the train from the airport. Trains leave the airport for Florence an average of twice per hour.

tuscany firenzeThe car rental in the Galileo Galilei airport in Pisa is very interesting. Then you can drive to Firenze(Florence), Siena, or other small town you want to visit.

The best is to look the mountain, the flowers, the vineyards...

Firenze and tuscany... About tuscany

There is a lot to do and to see in Tuscany. Many come in search of fine art, others to explore the extraordinary countryside. Walkers enjoy the mountain paths, cyclists the rolling hills, summer vacationers the sea coast and islands. Students come to learn the beautiful Italian language and culture. Gourmets and wine buffs descend on Tuscany to enjoy the simple yet wonderful cuisine and wine.

Very few places in the world can boast an artistic legacy with contents so deeply rooted in the territory and popular culture as Tuscany

For the visitor, a trip to Tuscany at the beginning of the Third Millennium holds much the same fascination that accompanied the travellers on the Grand Tour. The first-time visitor to the lands of Tuscany can not but be amazed by the natural symbiosis between landscape and culture, history and the expressive means of architecture and town-planning, the urban and rural dimension, and its patrimony of art, architecture, monuments and museums.
