From Pisa you can go to Florence by train, bus or rental car (the best option I think for knowing all the small towns of this wide region).<br /><br />Stazione Santa Maria Novella is the main train station around Florence. It's located at most 15-minutes (average walking time) from the furthest major attractions in Florence. Florence is reachable by train from many major areas of Italy and is also reachable from the airport. You can even check your bags and get a boarding pass for the train from the airport.
